License

Businesses need three different rights to legally play music in their physical location:
Public Performance Rights
This grants permission to play the song in a public setting
Reproduction Rights
This covers the right to use the original composition and compensates the songwriters and composers.
Recording Rights
This covers the right to use a specific recording of a song and compensates the performing artist(s).
If you run a business in the Netherlands and plan to play music, you may need two types of licenses. Music licensing in the Netherlands is managed by two organizations: Buma/Stemra and Sena.
